Phoenix 300 can be used to recover the performance of partially oxidized polyamide thin film membranes. It forms a coating on the surface of the membrane to improve salt rejection characteristics.
This product is applied on-line so there is no interruption of plant productivity during application. Phoenix 300 is compatible with polyamide membrane distributed by the major manufacturers.
Performance:
Phoenix 300 offers a number of performance properties that make it the product of choice for resizing polyamide membranes:
- Can be applied on-line, avoiding the need to interrupt plant production during application.
- Salt rejection can be improved by up to 100%.
- Application time is typically 30-60 minutes.
Instructions for Use:
The product is typically applied at 30-40ppm for between 30 and 60 minutes. The product should be applied after cleaning the system if possible.
Reapplication will be necessary following chemical cleaning of the system, or sooner depending on the feed water quality.
Preparation:
The product is supplied as a powder and should be made up into an emulsion of between 1-10% wt to suit the available dosing equipment. Dilute the product with chlorine free permeate quality water.
